Shrikhand Mahadev , one of the toughest pilgrimages in India, is known for Lord Shiva in Hindu Mythology. It is a pilgrimage place for Hindu. It is considered to be the abode of Lord Shiva. It also makes a thrilling and adventurous trek in Himachal. The engrossing beauty of the natural landscape of the land of Himachal Pradesh and soul – soothing vision of the snow – covered peaks of Himalayan mountain ranges and the ardent faith in admighty makes thousands of Hindu pilgrims across the world to take this difficult trek without a sigh and a word of complaint. It takes you amidst the lavish and beautiful setup of mighty Himalayas to the top of the Shrikand Mahadev peak at a height of approx. 17000 feet above the sea level. This holy destination is situated in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh.

What you should know about the trek/ pilgrimage

The Yatra is organized by the distt Administration Kullu and managed by the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra Trust Nirmand, in the month of July for 10 – 12 days. Though it’s summer time, one should always be prepared to face untimely rain and even snow fall. In the peak pilgrimage time, it is very easy to find food, water and sleeping bags. Still it is advisable that you take your own sleeping bags and some of other daily need supplies with you, but at the same time try to keep your luggage very light. Do not over – pack, but make sure you carry water bottles, glucose sachets, warm clothing, rainwear, flashlights and dry fruits. The people medically unfit are not advised to attempt the yatra/ trek. This is a 35 KM harsh track to trek and not meant for physically ill and weak hearted. The trek ascends through the alpine meadows to a 72 feet pinnacle of rock called Shivalinga. The yatra takes 4 – 5 days to complete and is organized by the Distt. Administration Kullu. So before you start your yatra, the registration becomes mandatory.

आवश्यक सूचनाः-

1. यह यात्रा दिनांक 07 जुलाई,2023 से 20 जुलाई,2023 तक होगी।

2. यात्रा न करने की सूरत में तथा बेस कैम्प सिंहगड में मेडिकल चैकअप में अस्वस्थ पाए जाने पर पंजीकरण शुल्क वापिस नहीं होगा।

3. 18 साल से कम तथा 60 साल से अधिक उम्र के व्यक्तियों को यात्रा न करने की सलाह दी जाती है।

4. पंजीकरण करना अनिवार्य है, बिना पंजीकरण के यात्रा करने पर किसी भी बेस कैम्प से वापिस भेजा जा सकता है।

5. पंजीकरण फीस प्रति यात्रि 250/- रुपये है।
